To empower real estate professionals, Land Departments to organize property feasibility analysis course

The Dubai Real Estate Institute (DREI), the educational arm of Dubai Land Department (LD) will organize a new course titled “Property Development Feasibility Analysis” on Nov 18-19. The specialized course is part of comprehensive awareness campaign to spread real estate culture and increase knowledge in the Arab world’s real estate market through training based on scientific methodology.

Mahmoud El Burai, Managing Director of DREI said “DREI strives to meet its entrusted tasks through educational and training programs to develop real estate competencies and disseminates real estate knowledge and culture.

He stressed that the new course is important for professional development for the people working in the sector. The course will focus on the theory of property development and application using case studies to develop skills in financial feasibility study.

The course will be held in LD’s headquarter and consists of various topics such as 

valuation, feasibility theory, land acquisition due diligence, marketing, market research, finance application, construction process and delivery, regulatory environment and practical application of Estate Master software tool.

The program will run for two days and includes 16 hours of training in English language. It will help in establishing the best practices in financial feasibility studies. Interested parties can register in this course by logging into DREI’s website www.drei.ae.

El Burai noted that the LD through DREI works to empower professionals working in the real estate sector through the various real estate programs offered to developers, brokers, investors, residents, landlords, owner associations managers and all those working in the sector.

The course instructor is Michael Waters a head lecturer at Heriot-Watt University’s Dubai Campus and qualified member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). He has professional experience in market research, site feasibility, development consultancy as well as an academic research background in property studies and policy reviews. He is the lead certified trainer for Estate Master DF in the MENA region.
