The UAE has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to overcome crises and embark on new stages of growth and development
03 May 2020

HE Sultan Butti bin Mejren, director general of Dubai Land Department (DLD), affirmed that the UAE’s wise leadership has always been prepared to face any developments and challenges across all levels. The directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to begin formulating the UAE’s development strategy post COVID-19 by holding intense federal and local government sessions to discuss the most important new changes and define development goals, emphasise and affirm His Highness’s wise vision as well as the proactive approach that we are accustomed to from the UAE’s leadership.

Bin Mejren stressed that the various initiatives and legislations recently adopted, whether by the federal or local government, have supported various investment sectors, particularly the real estate sector, in light of the global outbreak of COVID-19. He also emphasised that the UAE has further proven its ability to quickly deal with crises and prepare for them in advance, which was made evident when the UAE was recognised as the country most capable of applying remote learning and working systems, and businesses continued to operate even under the National Sterilisation Programme.

We now anticipate the future and look towards turning all challenges into opportunities to ensure a promising tomorrow.
