Dubai Land Department signs MoU with Sumansa Exhibitions to further strengthen partnership for the Dubai Property Show
13th September, 2017; Dubai, UAE: Following successful exhibitions in Hong Kong, London, Mumbai, and Shanghai, the last two of which generated AED 1.2 billion and AED 800 million of investments respectively, Dubai Land Department (DLD) now plans to explore new destinations for promoting the Emirate's attractive real estate market through its flagship event, the Dubai Property Show. At a ceremony hosted during Cityscape Global 2017, DLD signed an MoU with Sumansa Exhibitions – the organisers of the Dubai Property Show – with the aim of further strengthening ties between the two parties to take Dubai's real estate across the globe. The MoU was signed by Majid Al-Marri Senior Director – Real Estate promotion department, and Sultan Al Suwaidi, Partner at Sumansa Exhibitions.
With its towering sky-scrapers, cosmopolitan nature, fertile business environment and exciting entertainment and leisure opportunities, Dubai is fast becoming one of the world's favourite destinations, with an increasing number of people showing interest in investing in the Emirate.
DLD, together with the Dubai Property Show, will be launching a 'Global Investment Promotion Plan' to venture into key investment destinations around the world and drive new investment in Dubai's real estate market. The plan features exhibitions, roadshows, conferences, and annual stakeholder meeting hosted by DLD's Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Centre.
Majid Al-Marri Senior Director Real Estate Promotion Department - Real Estate Investment Management & Promotion Center the Investment arm of Dubai Land Department commented: "We are pleased to be reinforcing our strategic partnership with Sumansa Exhibitions at a time when Dubai's real estate market is ideally poised to attract greater outside investment. A total of 217 nationalities have invested in Dubai real estate over the past 18 months and our priority is to engage these investors on their home turf so we can share all that our Emirate has to offer. Our partnership with Sumansa has already allowed us to reach important investment countries including China, India and London, and we look forward to exploring new avenues to build on this success."
Speaking at the ceremony, Sultan Al Suwaidi commented: "Our experience with Chinese, Indian and British investors has been very encouraging and has convinced us to take the Dubai Property Show to further countries. We are fortunate to have the support of DLD in all of our ventures, and now, with a stronger partnership and further assistance, guidance and backing from the department, we can reach out to more destinations than ever before. We have already hosted multiple exhibitions in China, India and London, and we are now planning to explore Russia over the coming year."
"Dubai specializes in its diverse demographic that few destinations in the world can boast. The Emirate is also home to world-class companies offering an extensive range of quality properties, attracting a diverse investor base and further building trust", added Mr Suwaidi.
DLD, along with Sumansa Exhibitions, has played an instrumental role in putting Dubai on the global real estate map and attracting investors from different corners of the world through the exclusive Dubai Property Show. The Emirate has also managed to maintain its robust appeal with Expo 2020 on the horizon. Coupled with a free and liberal environment; exceptional returns on investment; promising dividends for small and big businesses; a lifestyle of luxury, comfort and quality; and a transparent and hassle free investment procedure, it is no surprise that securing a slice of Dubai's real estate pie is a dream come true for many nationalities.
