Dubai Land Department (DLD) has announced its participation at Cityscape Global 2014, one of the largest international exhibitions specialising in real estate investment and development. The government department also stated that it will be strongly supporting the summits held during the exhibition, which takes place on September 21-23 at Dubai World Trade Centre, especially the Real Estate Brokers Summit.

"The Real Estate Brokers Summit is an essential component of the Cityscape exhibition and is vital for DLD as it attracts international experts who share their knowledge and experience," said HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General, DLD. "The workshops and seminars that are a feature of the summit are expected to bring together more than 750 professionals to discuss the major issues affecting the industry, so DLD's participation and support of the event is one of our major activities at Cityscape," he added.

The main discussion at this year's Cityscape Real Estate Brokers Summit will be on how to create an appropriate environment to optimise property development and how to take full advantage of opportunities available. A significant part of the forum will also be given over to viewing the new activities offered by brokers in the long run, as well as discussing the importance of maintaining high ethical standards. There will also be a segment devoted to an analysis of how strong organisations protect the rights of all parties in the real estate sector.

DLD's involvement at the 13th edition of Cityscape will see the organisation showcasing its latest services designed to maximise ease and convenience for customers. The department will have three Registration Trustees offices on separate stands to conduct sales transactions during the three days of the exhibition.

"Cityscape is an ideal opportunity for DLD to showcase our brand to the world and promote our services to both existing and potential customers. The importance of this event for DLD is that it gathers under one roof premium developers, buyers and investors from different parts of the world, all of whom flock to the city to see how we have conducted our real estate sector transformation," added Bin Mejren.

This year's edition of Cityscape has succeeded in attracting 250 exhibitors from around the world, an increase of almost 25 percent compared to last year. According to data released by DLD, this follows the huge demand for real estate market investment during the first half of this year. The department has attributed this increased level of investment to many factors, including the consolidation of economic fundamentals, greater transparency and a prevailing optimism in the wake of Dubai winning the right to host Expo 2020. DLD says that the combination of these factors has contributed to a reduction in risks that investors may face in the Dubai's real estate sector.
