The initiative achieves its objectives and prepares to promote Dubai's real estate among British investors in London
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 4th December 2017: Dubai Land Department (DLD) has successfully concluded its real estate roadshow and workshops in Moscow, Russia. The Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center, the investment arm of DLD, oversaw the event with a delegation that was led by Her Excellency Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General and Head of the Center.
The first day was attended by His Excellency Ali Alhosani, Counsellor and Charge d'Affaires of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Moscow; a number of key developers including Binghatti Developers, Tebyan Real Estate Development Enterprises L.L.C. and Seven Tides International; and an impressive audience of private and corporate investors. The aim of the roadshow, which was held at Lotte Hotel in the heart of the city, was to promote Dubai's real estate market and attract Russian investors.
Her Excellency Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General and Head of the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center, said: "We organised our roadshow in Moscow to improve our understanding of the vital Russian market. Dubai real estate is of interest to Russian investors who are seeking attractive options that outstrip those in other global destinations, and Russians are among the top foreign investors in Dubai's property market. We would like to thank the senior developers who participated in the roadshow, as they contributed significantly to its success and helped us to achieve our objectives."
The roadshow's two-day agenda included a video on real estate investment opportunities in Dubai and a video about Expo 2020. Majid Saqr Al Marri, Senior Director of Real Estate Promotion at the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center, delivered a presentation on investment opportunities and returns in Dubai, as well as the services offered by DLD to real estate investors.
Another presentation was made in Russian regarding real estate promotion trustees, addressing the services and privileges offered to Russian investors. Participating developers introduced their companies and projects to the public before launching workshops with investors and responding to their queries.
During the real estate roadshow and workshops, DLD established an MoU with VFS Global to promote and facilitate overseas real estate investment in Dubai among Russian investors. The MoU was signed by Majid Al Marri from DLD and Mr. Nishant Bhatia, Head of Operations Russia & Baltics for VFS Global, in the presence of Her Excellent Majida Ali Rashid and Mr. Ali Adbulhameed Alhosani. VFS Global will be involved in the marketing and promotion of Dubai property through more than 2,400 centres in 129 countries around the world.
The agreement reflects DLD's strategy to encourage real estate investment in the Emirate globally and to provide the right information to investors looking to invest in Dubai with the highest standards of transparency. It is also part of DLD's ongoing efforts to strengthen Dubai's position as a leading property investment destination worldwide.
Following its great success in Moscow, the real estate roadshow and workshops will move to London to achieve the same goals.
Luxurious Dubai properties are of particular interest to Russian investors as they can be acquired for relatively low prices compared to other cities around the world such as New York, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore. Dubai's sunny climate, the availability of flights connected to major Russian cities, strong infrastructure in various fields including health and transportation, and the availability of numerous leisure facilities are among the factors that make the Emirate a preferred destination for Russian investors.
