13 July 2015

DLD official sponsor of Dubai Property Show

[Dubai - United Arab Emirates, 13 June 2015] – Dubai Land Department (DLD) has signed a strategic agreement with Sumansa Exhibitions LLC to promote Dubai's real estate market abroad. The partnership will see Sumansa Exhibitions promote the Dubai Property Show in external markets as part of DLD's ambitious vision to make the city the number one global real estate destination for attracting investment.

"DLD has achieved notable successes with its legislation and regulation of Dubai's real estate market and we are keen to showcase this expertise in other countries," said HE Majida Ali Rashid Assistant Director General, DLD. "The department has succeeded in gaining international acclaim for its activities, which has helped us launch promotional campaigns in new markets. By creating relationships with specialised parties that operate in international forums, such as Sumansa Exhibitions, we are able to extend the hosting and organisation of important events related to our mission," she added.

DLD's agreement with Sumansa Exhibition is listed under the Tarweej initiative, which was launched by the Investment Management and Promotion Centre, the investment arm of DLD. The main purpose of the arrangement is to raise public awareness worldwide on the investment environment in Dubai. The partnership will do this by promoting Dubai and the UAE's real estate market through focusing on its sustainability, growth and economic diversity. It will be using the format of the popular Dubai Property Show to spread this information, with Sumansa Exhibitions organizing the exhibition in key markets abroad.

"It is a straightforward proposition for DLD to guide effective messages to potential investors around the world, as our real estate practices guarantee the rights of all parties. This is thanks to DLD's clear and consise drafting, promulgation and application of transparent real estate laws. The department's premium services are also encouraging investment because of its employment of modern technologies that facilitate all aspects of property transactions. We are confident that through our new partnership, Sumansa will be instrumental in strengthening the position of Dubai's real estate market around the world," Majida concluded.

The city of tall, beautiful buildings, Dubai skyline has remained an attraction for many countries, nationals of which have steadily invested in the emirate, and gained rewarding returns financially. Expats, particularly Indians, Pakistanis and British have shown keen interest in buying property in Dubai and continue to do so encouraged by high quality projects, rising rents and continuous flow of expats population in the emirate in search of housing and business blocks.

Sultan Al Suwaidi, Partner at Sumansa Exhibitions said: "Like its iconic Burj Khalifa, Dubai stands tall as an epicenter of tourism, business and profitable investments. The past few decades have proven the emirate as the realty hub with a number of successful projects raking in lucrative business. We have many fine examples of booming property projects that Dubai has gifted to its residents and visitors. But now with the extra supply and to keep up with it, we feel the time has come to look towards other shores, invite and encourage foreign investments in the emirates real estate market.

"The UAE – and Dubai especially – is the hub of expatriates from many countries who look at it as their home and have consistently invested in a property in the emirate. This partnership with DLD will be taking the relationship to the next level and Sumansa Exhibitions, with its global experience of marketing Dubai property, intends to put the emirate's real estate on the map. After a successful exhibition in London this year, we are now looking forward to take the Dubai Property Show to Mumbai, India from 6th-8th November 2015.

The Dubai Property Show is held every year in several countries around the world and hosts more than 35 companies engaged in real estate development in the emirates. Exhibitors at the event display their various projects and services, which include some of the finest examples of luxury real estate projects in the UAE. They also organise educational seminars for potential buyers and host real estate experts who spotlight the growth in the Dubai market. The exhibition enables stakeholders to complete transactions and respond to inquiries from visitors interested in investing in Dubai real estate.
