16 October 2014

Portal improvements include easier navigation and better access to advanced e-Services.

Dubai Land Department (DLD)'s stand at this week's GITEX Technology Week has been the focus of attention for those seeking smart solutions for real estate services for Dubai's burgeoning property sector. The final day of the exhibition, which has been taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, saw DLD representatives receive hundreds of visitors keen to know about the prominent technological achievements made by the department designed to serve all segments of customer.

"At DLD we are proud of the developments we have made to the organisation's website. Thanks to these improvements, the DLD portal has become the interactive face of our efforts to improve the services that we offer to our customers, with the advancements increasing user-friendliness and ensuring seamless, smooth and convenient access. Our mission at GITEX 2014 has been to promote the use of our new technologies and to demonstrate how customers can benefit from such features," said Ali Belgaizi, Director of the IT Department, DLD.

Visitors to the DLD booth, which formed part of the Smart Government of Dubai Stand at GITEX, expressed their admiration for the unique characteristics of the organisation's website, citing its ease of browsing and its access to a full range of property services. Existing and potential customers were especially interested in seeing how the Investment Map and e-Mart component allows for safe, simple and secure property transactions, with other requests for demonstrations centering on how the portal connects to all of DLD's arms and sections, as well other government departments.

"DLD's website follows the standards laid down by the emirate's authorities for Dubai Smart Government websites, which focuses on the arrangement and classification of services by segments of customer. Thanks to these advanced features, customers can search for services using a variety of methods," said Belgaizi.

"The development efforts that we adopt in DLD's' IT Department are part of a continuous journey to upgrade and improve our services through seeking out the best techniques to employ, all the time making the most of the constant evolution of technology. Our dual strategy is to provide the very best experience for customers seeking property-related services in Dubai - wherever they are in the world - and to meet the comprehensive vision launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, for Dubai to be the smartest city in the world within three years," he added.
