19 October 2026Dubai Land Department (DLD) is participating in the eighth edition of AccessAbilities Expo 2026, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 19 to 21 October. Through its participation, DLD is showcasing a range of innovative real estate initiatives and solutions designed to enhance access to services and advance a more inclusive real estate environment that responds to the needs of People of Determination, senior citizens and their families, supporting greater independence, active participation and quality of life.
DLD’s participation reflects its commitment to the objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which place quality of life and community empowerment among their core priorities, while also supporting the ambitions of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Year of Family 2026.
The participation highlights DLD’s vision for an integrated real estate ecosystem that places people at the centre of development through innovation, digital transformation and stronger collaboration with the private sector. It also encourages adopting real estate solutions and design approaches that meet society's diverse needs and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global model for sustainable and inclusive urban development.
His Excellency Omar Hamad BuShehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department, said: “We remain committed to building a more inclusive real estate future that enables People of Determination to participate fully in society, provides equitable access to opportunities, and makes services and urban environments more accessible. This participation carries particular significance during the ‘Year of the Family 2026’, reflecting the vision of our leadership to strengthen family and community cohesion and advance quality of life for every member of society.”
He added: “Through this exhibition, we are engaging directly with People of Determination to better understand their aspirations and build meaningful partnerships that translate inclusion and empowerment into practical initiatives with lasting impact. Our ambition is to reinforce Dubai’s position as a city that embraces everyone and places people and families at the heart of its development journey.”
Digital Solutions Enhancing Access to Services
As part of its continued efforts to enhance the customer experience, DLD is showcasing a main interactive screen designed to accommodate People of Determination across different disability categories, including people with visual and hearing impairments.
The experience incorporates multiple modes of interaction, including touch, audio guidance and simplified instructions, enabling visitors to access real estate information and services with greater ease and clarity.
The solution demonstrates how innovation and digital transformation can improve access to government services and create a more flexible, responsive customer experience tailored to individual needs.
DLD’s stand also highlights four key initiatives supporting People of Determination, including the ‘Barwa’ initiative, presented through dedicated interactive screens showcasing four integrated services designed to make real estate services more accessible and responsive.
These include:
- ‘Al Karani’, a personal assistant service that follows up on real estate procedures and provides advice and support throughout the beneficiary’s real estate journey.
- ‘Al Kaitoob,’ a digital platform that enables remote property management through technologies designed around the needs of People of Determination.
- ‘Al Taresh,’ which provides field-based real estate services through mobile units that reach beneficiaries directly.
- ‘Al Mersal,’ a digital support team operating through the contact centre to provide remote assistance and immediate responses.
Together, these services reflect DLD’s approach to developing a more inclusive real estate ecosystem that combines personalised support, digital solutions, and field services. They are designed to strengthen independence, simplify transactions and enhance the overall real estate experience for People of Determination.
The stand also features a dedicated screen presenting DLD’s current and upcoming initiatives and activities for People of Determination, enabling visitors to learn more about available programmes and register to participate. This supports direct engagement with beneficiaries and encourages wider participation across DLD’s activities and initiatives.
Interactive Activities Supporting Awareness and Community Participation
To provide an engaging experience for visitors and families, DLD’s stand features a range of educational and interactive activities.
A dedicated children’s area lets young visitors build real estate models with blocks and construction games, combining learning and entertainment while encouraging creativity and introducing real estate concepts in an accessible way.
The stand also includes an interactive mosaic photography experience and a dedicated space for workshops and awareness activities, giving visitors opportunities for direct participation and engagement. These experiences reflect DLD’s commitment to promoting awareness of inclusion and creating activities suited to different age groups and community needs.
Through its participation, Dubai Land Department aims to strengthen dialogue with People of Determination, their families, caregivers, real estate developers and specialised organisations. This engagement supports the continued development of real estate services and initiatives while fostering stronger integration among government entities, the private sector, and the wider community.
Through its initiatives and institutional partnerships, DLD continues to embed accessibility and inclusion across its services and the wider real estate environment, contributing to a more sustainable real estate future that responds to the needs of society and places quality of life at the centre of development.
