Dubai Land Department selects La Mer as second destination for ‘Real Estate Fitness Challenge
05 November 2017

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 05th November 2017: The senior management and employees of Dubai Land Department (DLD) participated in the second week of the 'Real Estate Fitness Challenge' at La Mer, in alignment with the 'Dubai Fitness Challenge' initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.

His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of DLD, was at the forefront during the challenge, which began on Sunday 5th November at 7:00am. In order to encourage its team members, DLD provided them with official authorisation to participate until 10:30am and also organised early morning buses to transport them from the DLD building to La Mer.

Bin Mejren expressed his delight with the increasing numbers of developers joining the challenge, including Meraas and Binghatti Developers. By responding to the initiative from His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, they are contributing to promoting the city's landmarks and highlighting the beauty of its architecture to the world.

La Mer, a world-class beachfront developed by Meraas, stretches along the shore of the Jumeirah 1 area, providing an exceptional environment that sets new standards with its spectacular views of the Arabian Gulf and Dubai skyline. La Mer spans an impressive 13.4 million square feet of existing and reclaimed land between Pearl Jumeira and the upcoming Jumeira Bay.

Starting at 7:00am every Sunday, participants in DLD's 'Real Estate Fitness Challenge' will take a walking route at different locations across the city. Jumeirah Golf Estates was selected as the destination for the first week of the challenge. DLD has set itself up for success in the 'Dubai Fitness Challenge' by coordinating with its real estate partners to participate in the campaign and develop a comprehensive map for its fitness activities.
