To Enhance Communication over Social Networks
The Dubai Land Department (LD) announces that it will respond to public inquiries via its accounts on Twitter and Facebook opened last year. Launching the rapid response service aims at enhancing communication with the public and customers through social networking sites.
Communication via Twitter and Facebook is part of the large scale media initiatives and campaigns launched by LD through a number of media channels such as daily newspapers, radio and television channels to effectively and constructively reach out to the public, says Majida Ali Rashid, Senior Advisor to the strategy and Senior Director of planning and institutional development at LD. She added that such initiatives come in line with LD’s strategies to provide the latest information to the public, media and concerned parties.
LD receives public inquiries and questions throughout the week in Arabic and English and the concerned officials will respond to these inquiries directly and immediately. According to Majid Ali Rashid, the utilization of social networking plays a major role in boosting interaction between the LD and its audience as it allows more people to benefit from the information available on social networking sites about our services. Overall, this will help LD to develop and improve its services.
