DLD's initiative supports the 'Dubai Fitness Challenge' and highlights the most prominent real estate landmarks in the Emirate
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 29 October 2017: His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department (DLD), today launched the 'Real Estate Fitness Challenge' in line with the 'Dubai Fitness Challenge' initiative that was launched by His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
The first day of the DLD initiative was held today at Jumeirah Golf Estates, and featured the participation of HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren and a number of DLD directors and employees using the golf course as the starting point of a walking route. Each Sunday will see DLD selecting prominent real estate landmarks in the Emirate for each subsequent 'Real Estate Fitness Challenge' location.
His Excellency Sultan Butti bin Mejren, Director General of Dubai Land Department, said: "The Dubai real estate sector wanted to provide full support for the initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, by mobilizing the largest number of DLD employees and real estate professionals. We also wanted to use the initiative to showcase important Dubai landmarks and highlight the incredible diversity in Dubai's architecture."
His Excellency added: "Every week we will chose one of the city's famous landmarks to be the starting point for the walking initiative, and we call on all real estate companies to join us in this challenge to highlight Dubai as one of the most exciting cities and the most beautiful real estate destinations in the world."
Starting at 7:00am every Sunday participants will take a walking route according to a map prepared by DLD. Busses have been organized to transport DLD employees to each 'Real Estate Fitness Challenge' location.
