Dubai Land Department Delegate Attends International Green Building Conference

[United Arab Emirate – Dubai – 30 September 2015] – A high level official delegate from Dubai Land Department (DLD) headed by HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren Director General, HE Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant General Manager and Head of Investment Management and promotion Center the investment arm of DLD and a group of heads of departments attends the International Green Building Conference 2015 (IGBC) which was held earlier this month in Singapore.

IGBC 2015 attracts thousands of participants from over 30 countries - from thought leaders, real estate developers to urban planners, architects, engineers, builders and other industry professionals - committed to understanding and putting into action real-world, tangible and leading green building solutions. Also present at the conference policy-makers and key government officials from several growth markets, who will give their unique public sector perspectives on green building solutions, policies and plans. Academics will also share their latest research findings in green building development.

"Our participation in the International Green Building Conference in Singapore stems from our commitment to attend global events related to our activities and our operations to service the real estate market, as well as Dubai's goal in keeping pace with the latest developments in the field of green buildings, in order to constantly upgrade their standards and their application in construction projects, especially as we look forward to maintaining our leadership in this area," said HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Director General of DLD.

During the IGBC the DLD delegation had the opportunity to exchange experiences, and learn about the latest technologies in relation to many of their services, and to identify the latest designs of community buildings and initiatives for sustainable real estate, especially that Dubai host "The Regional Center for Resource Efficient and Sustainable Cities for the Arab Region".

"It is certain that the department benefit from the initiatives, lectures and workshops during the IGBC, and will work to exploit and employ them in our plans, programs and events the future, especially since Singapore is one of the advanced countries in the science of sustainability," Bin Mejren concluded.
