Dubai Land Department continues its empowerment journey for national talents through the Third Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment

Building on the exceptional success of the previous two editions and after providing employment opportunities for more than 2,071 Emiratis since the initiative’s launch in June 2023. Dubai Land Department organised the third edition of ‘Real Estate Day for Emiratis'. The event aims to expand the participation of national talents in the real estate sector, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, and the Dubai Social Agenda 2033.

The event is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and the Emirati Human Resources Development Council, with the official sponsorship of Emaar Properties. This year, it brings together more than 80 real estate companies, offering over 400 direct and diverse job opportunities. These opportunities provide clear career pathways for Emirati job seekers, linking employment with training and professional progression within sector institutions.

The event was attended by high-level figures, including H.E. Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Al Basti, Secretary General of the Executive Council of Dubai, H.E. Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department H.E. Abdulla Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Recourses and Deputy Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai; H.E. Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President & CEO of Higher Colleges of Technology; and H.E. Jamal Bin Thaniah, Chairman of Emaar. They were joined by a number of CEOs from Dubai Land Department and partner organisations.

 

 

The results of this initiative reaffirm its upward trajectory in supporting qualitative Emiratisation goals. In 2023, it successfully employed 647 Emiratis, surpassing the announced target of 250. In 2024, the number reached 854 Emiratis, exceeding the target of 500. The initiative continued its excellence by employing 570 Emiratis between January and June 2025.

H.E. Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department, said: “We empower Emirati men and women to enter the real estate sector and advance within it on sustainable foundations, inspired by the vision and guidance of our wise leadership, which has always emphasised that citizens are a fundamental priority in development. Through close cooperation with our partners in government and the private sector, we are building an integrated ecosystem that links employment with professional training and career progression, while providing quality opportunities, career pathways, and long-term stability for our citizens.”

He added: “The results achieved since 2023 confirm that we are on the right track to fulfilling the targets of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033, and the Dubai Social Agenda 33. Together, we are building a brighter future for Emiratis in the real estate sector, as we continue to surpass set targets and enhance the contribution of national talents to economic development.”

H.E. Abdulla Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of the Dubai Government Human Recourses and Deputy Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, stated: “The Third Real Estate Day for Emiratis Employment signifies a key milestone in our journey to empower national talents and achieve our wise leadership’s vision of prioritising the role of Emirati citizens in the development of the nation. We are committed to offering promising career pathways to upskill our citizens and foster competitiveness, while supporting the goals of both Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033.”

Dubai Land Department continues to expand its network of partners, including developers, brokers, management, and service companies, while enhancing training and on-the-job learning programs to ensure that candidates’ skills align with market needs and to facilitate their smooth transition from training rooms to workplaces with confidence. This approach reflects practical integration between policies and executive programs, placing the Emirati citizen at the heart of the growth and competitiveness ecosystem of a real estate sector that is increasingly attractive and capable of absorbing national talent.
