The real estate event attracted over four thousand visitors
[DUBAI – UAE, 25 Dec. 2016] – Dubai Land Department (DLD) concluded its successful participation in the Dubai Property Show, which was inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Albanna, UAE ambassador to India. The event was held at the Bandra Kurla complex in Mumbai, India over a period of three days, marking a strong demand for all participating developers, and an attendance in excess of four thousand investors interested in Dubai real estate.
The DLD stand was highly popular with visitors willing to discover investment opportunities in Dubai, as well as gain more insights on the investment laws and the implementation of local market regulations.
The total value of investments recorded at this year's show exceeded one hundred million dirhams, with 150 investment contracts currently underway. Furthermore, over 1,200 investors signed up to learn more about the opportunities offered by the Dubai real estate market.
Her Excellency Majida Ali Rashid, Assistant Director General and Head of the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Center said: "Dubai real estate is of significant interest for an increasing number of Indian investors, which is evident by the nationality's leading position for foreign investment in property. Indian nationals recognise the numerous opportunities offered by Dubai's real estate market, which is considered by many to be an ideal destination and a safe environment."
The Dubai Property Show also includes symposiums focused upon a number of topics, including the advantages and features of Dubai investments for Indian investors, as well as the legal and regulatory framework in the Emirates and successful methods for optimising return on investments. Representatives of the Dubai Land Department offered their expertise in a number of seminars, discussing the investment climate and shedding light upon market strengths.
Rashid added: "Our participation at the Dubai Property Show contributed towards its success, with the event attracting Dubai's largest real estate developers and brokers. The important position of the Dubai real estate market was emphasised along with the various opportunities it offers, while affirming the Emirate's growing role as one of the top real estate investment destinations in the world. Our initiatives and applications were praised by visitors, including the investment map application that allows them to stay informed of investment opportunities."
The Department's participation in the show run in parallel with a series of other successful events within an initiative known as 'Tarweej' (a developers' assembly), launched by the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Centre in May 2013. The initiative aims to support the Emirate's real estate sector by promoting communication between all parties and by focusing on Dubai products and real estate projects, along with initiatives proposed by the Real Estate Investment Management and Promotion Centre.
